BP CURES HOLE till agoust... :

Doug Suttle, chief operating officer of the company, said that once the new cap was on, systems that have been collecting some of the oil leaking valve was closed and the new cover would be closed to stop the flow. pressure readings then be taken to determine the condition of the property.
If tests show the increased pressure and holding - an indication that there was significant damage along the length of the shaft, covering 13 thousand meters below the seabed - the valves may remain closed, effectively ending the spurt of three months .
"The best possible scenario: the pressure rises to the point that we anticipated," Mr. Suttle said in an interview on Monday morning. "We'll probably be able to keep the well shut in"
Scientists from the Department of Energy will be involved in the analysis of test results, Mr. Suttle said.
Moreover, the tests could show the pressure remaining lower than expected, Mr. Suttle said he would appoint a "problem with the integrity" of the property. In this case, he said, the valves would have to be reopened, the oil would start to escape the pit again, and the collection systems will be connected again.
That would remain the case until the company could complete its work in relief wells to stop the leak and permanently seal the well. This operation is not expected to be completed by late July or August at least.

Seattle goes 8 Bit

Wordmark of Google MapsImage via Wikipedia

We are sure, or at least hope, that we are not the only people who have walked the streets of Seattle at some point ourselves and found it "Sure, it's good, but would be nothing cooler than here given in 8 bits, Final Fantasy, Nintendo style graphics? "Your Seattlest can be a little bitter as some of our most finely honed skills - the defense of villages stirring hordes of orcs, for example, or the remains of the mighty dragon's treasure troves evil - is undervalued because these things do not, well, exist.
But courtesy of Brett Camper, Seattleites can finally take a look at the Emerald City will look like a magic kit to lend in Seattle 8-Bit video. Using Google Maps, charts and eight of the classic video game, interactive boards Camper has 8 bits of cities like New York and London, his hometown of Seattle is the last treatment you need.
We have a lot of disappointment? No special marker for the Fremont Troll - that game is right there, just waiting to be made.
